Pre-Christmas handicraft exhibition

On December 5, the Marshal’s Office is hosting a combined Christmas exhibition and a fair of handicrafts of people with disabilities. The event is called “We can do it too”. Stands are exhibited by 40 social integration institutions from across the province. The fair was opened by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, president of the regional parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, member of the province board Marek Wojtkowski and vice-president of the assembly Katarzyna Lubańska.

Created with passion, the items are an excellent idea for Christmas decorations and original gifts under the Christmas tree,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Participants of occupational therapy workshops and community self-help homes, social welfare homes and special education centers, as well as artists gathered in non-governmental organizations working on behalf of people with disabilities, present their works.

The exhibitions of handicrafts by people with disabilities organized by the Department of Social Affairs and Health (Integration of Persons with Disabilities Division) are cyclical and take place in the run-up to Christmas and Easter. This is the thirty-fifth edition of the event.

All proceeds from sales are donated by exhibitors to the rehabilitation of disabled people. The event was financed by funds from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship local government under the “Equal Opportunities 2030+” task.
