Polish-Lithuanian Business Forum in Toruń
Representatives of eighty-two companies from Poland, Lithuania, and Germany are taking part in the two-day (September 22–23) 2nd Polish-Lithuanian Business Forum in Toruń. Among the topics under discussion are robotics and automation, cybersecurity, supply chains for the chemical industry, and dual-use civil-military technologies.
“The Forum in Toruń is a very valuable and important initiative. I believe that, thanks to such meetings, we will witness increasingly close relations between Poland and Lithuania,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “Today we are talking about very important matters – science, the European Union, defense, and the future of our children.”
The panel debates address, among others: international cooperation and European research and implementation strategies in the defense sector, smart specializations for dual-use innovation, innovation in the economy, the role of special economic zones, robotics on the battlefield and in industry, tactical medicine in crisis applications, and cybersecurity of automatic control systems for critical infrastructure and industrial processes. The program also includes bilateral business meetings and study visits.
The organizers are the Consulate of the Republic of Lithuania in Toruń, the City of Toruń, the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, and the Honorary Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany.
