Police Day – Thank You for Your Dedicated Service

They protect our safety, patrol the streets, direct traffic, and fight organized crime — often putting their own health and lives at risk. On the occasion of today’s Police Day (24 July), Marshal Piotr Całbecki extends his best wishes to the police officers of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

“Thank you for your reliable and selfless service in safeguarding our security and defending the highest values. I greatly appreciate your commitment and dedication in your daily work,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The regional self-government consistently supports the modernization of police infrastructure, the purchase of modern equipment (including patrol cars, speed measurement devices, power generators, and specialized vehicles), as well as the training of officers.

Under the current programming period, the Regional Police Headquarters in Kujawsko-Pomorskie will receive over PLN 3 million in funding from the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze for the purchase of drones, vehicles for transporting police dogs, and mobile crisis management centers. The total value of the three projects exceeds PLN 5 million.

The Kujawsko-Pomorskie police force consists of 5,000 officers and 1,200 civilian employees. Within the region, there are 19 municipal and district police headquarters, 27 subordinate police stations, and 37 local police posts.

Each day, police officers conduct an average of over 500 interventions, check the identity of around 2,000 individuals, carry out nearly 2,000 vehicle inspections, and perform more than 3,000 driver sobriety tests.
