Passion, Talent, Art – Awards for Artists

Fourteen talented artists from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region have been awarded the Marshal’s scholarships to support their artistic projects and cultural promotion. The grants range from 6,000 to 12,000 PLN. The scholarship award ceremony, attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, took place today (February 25) at the Contemporary Art Centre “Signs of the Times” in Toruń.

“By recognizing representatives of various cultural fields, we aim to appreciate the passion, talent, and dedication of individuals while also showcasing the richness of art and its achievements,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “Our region is thriving in the cultural sphere. We proudly support both Kujawsko-Pomorskie artists and cultural animators, as well as our flagship institutions.”

The regional artistic scholarships, awarded twice a year, provide financial support to talented residents of the region. They serve as motivation to take on new artistic challenges and help bring creative projects to life. The scholarships are granted to individuals engaged in artistic creation (including film, sculpture, visual arts, music, literature, and theater), cultural dissemination, and heritage preservation. This year’s awardees come from Bydgoszcz, Osielsko, Aleksandrów Kujawski, and Toruń.

This is the first edition of the Marshal’s scholarship program for 2025. Another group of awarded artists will be announced in the summer.
