Our trains will travel 6.5 million kilometers
A new direct train connection to Szczecin, holiday courses to Kołobrzeg and Hel, more trains from Bydgoszcz to Mogilno, and from Toruń to Inowrocław – these are the most important changes in the new train timetable, which will take effect on December 15. Details were provided on December 2 during a meeting with journalists by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and Deputy Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska.
– We are pleased to see an increasing number of the region’s residents who are choosing regional rail as a means of transportation. With their needs in mind, we are modernizing the rolling stock and consistently striving for the best possible network of connections, pointed out Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Blue Line is supervised by the regional government, which finances its operation in cooperation with 131 municipalities.
From December 15, the Barnim train will start running from Bydgoszcz Główny station to Szczecin Główny station, thanks to cooperation with the local governments of the West Pomeranian and Greater Poland provinces. From Bydgoszcz, the depot will set off at 12:51, and will arrive at 17:31.
Rybitwa train courses to Kołobrzeg will resume in the summer of 2025. This popular connection was used by 8,000 people in 2024. Direct rides to the Baltic Sea will start at Toruń Wschodni station. We will also provide a convenient transfer for travelers from Włocławek. A new feature of the timetable will also be a holiday course to the Hel Peninsula.
After the new timetable is introduced, seven pairs of trains will run on the Bydgoszcz – Mogilno route (four pairs ran so far). The number of pairs of trains on the Inowrocław – Toruń route will also increase to ten. Two additional trains to Inowrocław will leave Toruń at 8:36 and 21:33, and from Inowrocław to Toruń at 11:33 and 22:17. The latter will also take passengers to Kutno and Jabłonowo Pomorskie.
A new pair of evening trains will also run between Grudziądz and Brodnica, and between Bydgoszcz and Wyrzysk Osiek station (via Nakło nad Notcią).
Two courses to Wloclawek, which have so far departed from Toruń, will set off from Inowrocław from December 15.
We will also improve communication with Kutno and Łódź. Within the framework of cooperation with the local government of the Łódzkie Voivodeship, transfers to trains departing in the direction of Łódź will be facilitated in Kutno. In addition, the first morning train to that city will depart from Toruń Wschodni station (and not from the main station as before) as early as 4:03 am.
The timetable will include new direct courses, which were created after combining shorter relations: Toruń Główny – Grudziądz – Brodnica, Laskowice Pomorskie – Brodnica, Bydgoszcz Gówna – Laskowice Pomorskie – Brodnica. The existing direct connections from Bydgoszcz to Poznań (at 5:16 and 12:14) will also run on weekends.
On the occasion of the “New Year’s Eve Power of Hits” concert on the night of December 31-January 1, we will launch special trains that will take passengers from three stations in Toruń to Naklo nad Notcią, Tuchola, Mogilno, Jabłonowo Pomorskie, Skepe (Lipno County) and Kaliska Kujawskie (Włocławek County).
In the 2025/2026 timetable, we will restore connections to Ciechocinek, and in the 2026/2027 timetable also to Rypin.
Rail services financed by the provincial government are provided by Arriva RP and Polregio, based on an eight-year agreement signed in 2022. Representatives of the conductors also took part in the conference
