Our Direct Interregional Trains – For Business, Weekends, and Holidays

The regional self-government organizes railway connections not only within our region. In response to public demand and in cooperation with partners from neighboring regions, we have also launched direct trains to key centers in seven Polish regions, including Poznań, Tricity, Szczecin, Kołobrzeg, Olsztyn, and Łódź.

We aim to increase interest in railway transport and build passenger trust in this mode of communication. Our trains are just as comfortable as long-distance services, but our tickets are cheaper. At the same time, we are increasing the number of trains serving these routes – emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

In the current timetable, we maintain direct interregional connections:

  • With the Łódzkie Region:
    • 2 pairs of connections to Łódź Kaliska station (one from Bydgoszcz, one from Toruń)
  • With the Mazowieckie Region:
    • 6 pairs of connections to Sierpc station
  • With the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Region:
    • 4 pairs of connections to Olsztyn (two from Bydgoszcz via Toruń, one from Inowrocław, one from Toruń)
  • With the Wielkopolskie Region:
    • 2 pairs of trains from Bydgoszcz to Poznań
    • 5 pairs of trains from Toruń to Poznań
    • 1 pair from Toruń to Gniezno
    • 8 pairs from Bydgoszcz to Piła
  • With the Zachodniopomorskie Region:
    • A daily pair of “Barnim” trains from Bydgoszcz to Szczecin (new in this year’s schedule)
    • A seasonal weekend train “Rybitwa” from Toruń via Bydgoszcz to Kołobrzeg
  • With the Pomorskie Region:
    • 4 pairs of trains from Bydgoszcz to Gdynia
    • A seasonal train from Bydgoszcz to Hel (new in this year’s schedule)
    • 5 pairs of trains from Bydgoszcz to Chojnice
    • 7 pairs of trains to Czersk (one pair from Bydgoszcz, two from Tuchola, four from Laskowice Pomorskie)

Maintaining passenger rail connections will cost the regional budget 240 million PLN this year. Three-quarters of these services are operated by modern rail vehicles purchased by the regional self-government.
