Our candidates for the title of Best Tourist Product

We know the winners of the regional stage of the competition for the Best Tourist Product – Certificate of the Polish Tourist Organisation. Our candidates will now compete for the most important tourist awards in Poland.

The regional stage of the competition was coordinated by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organisation. It was held under the patronage of Marshal Piotr Całbecki. The Competition Committee, appointed by Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organisation (K-POT), faced a real challenge. A total of 16 tourist products were submitted to the regional stage.

“For years, Kujawsko-Pomorskie has been consistently building its brand as an open, creative and passionate region. We can boast attractive places both in terms of natural values and interesting forms of tourism organisation,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The representatives of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Constellations of Good Places in the national stage are:

in the POT Certificate category:

  • the event ‘U sąsiadów olendrów’ (At the Olender Neighbours’), held in the Olender Ethnographic Park in Wielka Nieszawka

Outdoor events under the common title ‘U sąsiadów olendrów’ (At the Olender Neighbours’) present the way of life and living conditions of the inhabitants of a village at the Vistula River bank at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Participants in the events can experience the unique atmosphere of lively Olender farms, take on the role of the inhabitants of a former village and try their hand at farm work.

  • Vistula River Cruises with Zakole Smaku

Vistula River Cruises with Zakole Smaku are a manifestation and link in the mission carried out on the Niech Cię Zakole trail. The credibility of the offer is reflected in the slogan ‘We do what we like, we share what is best’. The best is our own, native and local culinary handicraft. Combining this with Vistula cruises is a real feast for the senses.

  • JuraPark Solec

JuraPark Solec Kujawski is a place where family adventure meets learning through play. Over 100 life-size dinosaur models await you on the forest trail, and the Karol Sabath Earth Museum, with one of the largest collections of fossils in Poland, including the skeleton of Opisthocoelicaudia, allows you to discover the secrets of prehistory.

in the POT Gold Certificate category:

  • Soap and Dirt History Museum

The Museum of Soap and the History of Dirt in Bydgoszcz is a tourist attraction offering a unique combination of education, everyday history and craftsmanship. The permanent exhibition tells the story of hygiene and dirt from ancient times to the present day. It is a story told with distance, humour and the involvement of the senses: touch, smell and action.

In the Tourist Discovery of the Year category:

  • Royal Lavender Garden

The Royal Lavender Garden is a place where nature and man meet in harmony, and the daily rush is left behind. Here, everyone can find space for themselves, relax and immerse themselves in the scent of lavender bushes.

‘The products selected in the regional stage show the diversity and potential of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Constellation of Good Places. These are places and events created with passion, which already attract tourists today and now have a chance to delight the whole of Poland,’ says Beata Sawińska, president of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organisation.

For over 20 years, the Polish Tourist Organisation, together with Regional Tourist Organisations, has been organising a competition for the Best Tourist Product – POT Certificate, in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of Polish tourist offerings by promoting attractive and innovative products. POT certificates are a prestigious award in the industry, constituting a recommendation and guarantee of the highest level of service.
