New officials took their oath

“I solemnly swear that I will serve the Polish state and the local government community, observe the legal order and conscientiously perform the tasks entrusted to me” These are the words of the oath taken today (1 September) by eleven employees of the Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, who are completing their preparatory service.

‘Working at the Marshal’s Office is a very responsible task; through your work, you serve the residents of our region. I believe that by scrupulously fulfilling your duties, you will meet all professional challenges. I wish you every success and satisfaction in your work,’ said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

In accordance with the Local Self-Government Employees Act, persons taking up employment for the first time in local government units in a civil service position (including managerial positions) sign a fixed-term employment contract for up to 6 months. During this time, they are required to complete preparatory service. They then take an exam, which they must pass in order to continue their employment.

The officials who took the oath represent the following departments:

  • Legal Advisors’ Office
  • Finance
  • Organisation
  • Road Infrastructure
  • European Funds Management for Kujawy and Pomorze
  • Social Affairs
  • Environment
  • Implementation of European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze

At the Marshal’s Office, this was the 51st oath taken by officials since the entry into force of the Act of 21 November 2008 on local government employees.
