Twenty-eight contracts worth a total of PLN 63 million were handed over today at the Marshal’s Office to representatives of the beneficiaries of our regional program, European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie (EFKP) – local governments, medical institutions, business organizations, and the Voivodeship Labor Office. The meeting, also attended by Voivodeship Board Member Marek Wojtkowski and Vice-Chairman of the Regional Assembly Przemysław Sznajdrowski, was hosted by Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

“Thank you for today’s meeting and for the work put into preparing the projects. Poland’s economy is the fastest-growing in our part of the world. The growth of gross domestic product is driven, among other things, by the activity of enterprises, which in large part is fueled by public infrastructure investments financed with EU funds,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki in his speech.

Among the initiatives supported today with FEdKP funds are, among others: the purchase of electric buses by the town of Brodnica (project cost: PLN 21 million, subsidy: PLN 18 million), the creation of a day care home in Kruszyn (Bydgoszcz County, project cost: PLN 17 million, subsidy: PLN 16 million) and three day care centers in Bydgoszcz, a voivodeship-wide educational and career counseling program for students (value: over PLN 5 million), an ecological education program for public preschools in Toruń, as well as investments in medical equipment for outpatient care facilities and infrastructure for volunteer fire departments.
