More safe roundabouts will be built in Dyblin and Broniewice
In the presence of Marshal Piotr Całbecki and Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, agreements were signed today (30 May) with contractors for new intersections in Dyblin in the Lipno County and in Broniewice in the Inowrocław County. These are further tasks implemented as part of our road safety improvement programme.
‘These are investments eagerly awaited by residents and drivers, which will improve safety and streamline traffic at important intersections,’ emphasised Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The roundabout in Dyblin will connect two regional roads
The three-lane roundabout with a diameter of 25 metres will connect provincial road No. 562 (connecting Dobrzyń nad Wisłą with Włocławek) with provincial road No. 558 connecting Lipno with Dyblin. The project also includes the construction of pavements, storm drains, electrical and telecommunications networks. The geometry of the roundabout entrances will force drivers to reduce their speed, which will further improve safety. A paved ring has been designed around the central island to facilitate manoeuvring for heavy goods vehicles.

The construction work, worth PLN 5.2 million, will be carried out by Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych from Lipno. The investment is scheduled for completion later this year.
We have planned further investments on the roads of the Lipno County this year, including the modernisation of the following sections:
- DW No. 541 on the section between the provincial border and Turza Wilcza, length 6.5 km, before tender,
- DW No. 558 on the section between Lipno and Kłokock, length 5.2 km, before tender,
- Regional road No. 557 on the section Kobrzyniec – Janiszewa, length 6 km, tender in progress,
- Regional road No. 562 in Kamienica, length 2 km, before tender.
Roundabout in Broniewice with a new section of road
The construction of the roundabout in Broniewice will be combined with the reconstruction of a section of provincial road No. 255 from the railway crossing to property No. 300 (approx. 440 m). In addition, a new section of district road will be built towards Janikowo (to the embankment). The old road running along the railway tracks will be demolished. This solution will allow the new roundabout to be moved away from the existing railway crossing on the Poznań-Inowrocław line. Within the new three-lane roundabout, we have included the construction of pavements and pedestrian crossings. A bus bay will also be built (before entering the roundabout from the Strzelno side). The scope of the project also includes the construction of drainage, exits to properties and fields, and the installation of lighting. Cutting off the island on the western side will also allow oversized vehicles to pass. After signing the contract with the contractor, the work will take approximately 6 months.

Polbud Polak from the Mogilno district will be responsible for construction works worth PLN 5.8 million.
We have also commissioned the modernisation of the Rzadkwin-Bławaty section of provincial road 255 connecting Pakość with Strzelno (we have signed a contract). We plan to commission the construction of the Trląga bypass later this year.
We are also implementing other investments on the roads of the Inowrocław district, including the reconstruction of the following sections:
- Regional road No. 252 on the section Dziennice – Pławinek, length 2.3 km, contract signed
- Regional road No. 412 on the section Przedbojewice – Rożniaty, length 2.5 km, construction site handed over
- Regional road No. 299, Piasta Street in Gniewkowo, length 1 km (extension), the task is being implemented on a design-and-build basis – work on the documentation is nearing completion
- lighting of pedestrian crossings on provincial roads No. 251 and 252, design work is nearing completion.
Further investments ahead
The construction of roundabouts in Dyblin and Broniewice is another of the 23 planned tasks from the road safety improvement programme. From this package, we have already launched:
- construction of traffic lights in Bysław (Tuchola County), task completed
- construction of a roundabout in Sępólno Krajeńskie (Sępólno County), task completed
- construction of a roundabout in Golub-Dobrzyń (Golub-Dobrzyń County), work in progress
- construction of a roundabout in Barcin (Żnin County), tender in progress.
Further tasks are being prepared for implementation. See Safe intersections on provincial roads. We will finance them using European Funds for Kujawy and Pomerania for 2021-27.
Record spending on roads
PLN 2 billion will be allocated to the provincial programme for the modernisation of provincial roads in the coming years. As part of the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomerania 2021-2027 (FEdKiP 2021-2027), our regional programme for the new perspective, we are allocating EUR 136 million to road investments, including our regional programme for the construction of ring roads. We will also use the central funding obtained (approximately PLN 170 million for ring roads and approximately PLN 450 million for the expansion of other roads) for some of the tasks related to the expansion of road infrastructure.
