
More Regional Road Modernization Contracts Signed
This week, we signed contracts for the modernization of additional regional roads. Work will soon begin, among other places, on a section of Road No. 255 in Mogilno County, between Rzadkwin and Bławaty. We are also continuing resurfacing works on Road No. 258 in Toruń County, Road No. 560 in Rypin County, and Road No. 569 connecting Toruń with Golub-Dobrzyń.
“The results of our efforts in road infrastructure are visible in every county. In addition to large-scale investments, we are carrying out dozens of smaller projects that improve safety for all road users,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
Regional Road No. 255 connects, among other towns, Pakość and Strzelno. The three-kilometer section under construction includes:
- construction of a new road structure
- construction of roadside
- construction of bus bays and platforms
- lighting of pedestrian crossings
- construction of roadside ditches
- application of horizontal road markings
- replacement of vertical signage and guide posts
The contractor for the works is Strabag, with a contract worth 17.6 million PLN. Completion is expected within six months. Preparations are also underway to sign a contract for the construction of a roundabout in Broniewice, Inowrocław County.
We have also signed a contract for the modernization of Road No. 569 between Małszyce and Łążynek (a 3 km section) on the border of Toruń and Golub-Dobrzyń counties. The project, worth 6.3 million PLN, will also be carried out by Strabag. Adjacent sections toward Dobrzejewice and Małszyce were modernized earlier.
The recently signed contracts also include modernization of:
- Regional Road No. 240 near the village of Błądzim past the railway crossing toward Tuchola (Tuchola County, value: 0.6 million PLN, contractor: Redon Nakło)
- Regional Road No. 258 between Osiek and Dzikowo (Toruń County, value: 3.5 million PLN, contractor: Colas Polska)
- Regional Road No. 560 between Dylewo and Zakrocz (Rypin County, value: 1 million PLN, contractor: PRD Lipno)
At the beginning of May, we also signed contracts with contractors for modernization works on Regional Road No. 240 in Świecie County and Regional Road No. 412 in Inowrocław County.
Several additional contracts for works on other stretches of regional roads are currently in the tendering process.
Record Spending
We are allocating over 2 billion PLN for the regional road modernization program in the coming years. As part of the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021–2027 (FEdKP 2021–2027), €136 million is earmarked for road investments, including our regional bypass construction program. Additional road infrastructure projects will also be supported by central government funding – approx. 170 million PLN for bypasses and 450 million PLN for other road expansions.
