INFORMATION PORTAL OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE Region IN TORUŃ

Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz was today (October 10) a guest of Marshal Piotr Całbecki. The talks focused on the use of EU funds under the current financial perspective, including our regional program European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie and the National Recovery Plan. EU support for local governments was also the main topic of the Minister’s meeting with local government representatives of our region in Bydgoszcz.

“The implementation of the European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomroskie program is progressing according to plan and at a pace we find satisfactory,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “Contracting — meaning the share of funds for which we have already signed financing agreements with program beneficiaries — currently amounts to 54 percent of the allocation, which represents an engagement of 4,216 million PLN (four billion two hundred sixteen million). As for the National Recovery Plan, it is already being utilized by municipalities such as Świedziebnia and Jabłonowo Pomorskie in Brodnica County and Łubianka in Toruń County (projects related to the construction and modernization of water supply systems), as well as by the Regional Specialist Hospital in Włocławek (projects concerning the expansion of IT systems and the purchase of modern medical equipment).”

Also participating in the meeting at the Marshal’s Office were Vice-President of the Regional Parliament Przemysław Sznajdrowski, MP Marcin Skonieczka, and Vice-Voivode of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Michał Koniuch.

The meeting in Bydgoszcz focused on support for local government structures within centrally managed European programs and the National Recovery Plan. The regional government was represented by Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski. Earlier, Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz held a press conference.
