Meeting of the Convention of Mayors in Wielka Nieszawka

Today (February 26), the Convention of Mayors of Rural Municipalities of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region convened in Wielka Nieszawka, in Toruń County. The meeting was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Among the topics discussed was the implementation of tasks arising from the Act on Civil Protection and Civil Defense. Marshal Piotr Całbecki emphasized that the regional self-government carries out numerous projects aimed at increasing residents’ safety. One of the measures highlighted was the expansion of the radio communication system based on the IT infrastructure available to the regional self-government.

“Strengthening safety is a continuous process that requires close, coordinated, and responsible cooperation between local governments, public institutions, and uniformed services at all levels. Our infrastructure will enable the creation of the most modern integrated communication system for all state services in Poland,” he said.

The regional host also mentioned a project providing carbon monoxide detectors to the most vulnerable residents of the region. Today (February 26) in Chełmno, Marshal Piotr Całbecki will deliver the first batch of these detectors to the beneficiaries of the local day care center.
