Let us hurry to love people – they leave so quickly…
The beginning of November is a time when we remember those who are no longer with us. We visit cemeteries and allow ourselves moments of reflection.
Marshal Piotr Całbecki will take part in a charity collection on November 1 at St. George’s Cemetery in Toruń, while Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski will participate at the Old Parish Cemetery in Bydgoszcz. Funds raised during the collections will support the renovation of historic monuments at these cemeteries.
During the premiere and subsequent performances of King Roger (November 8, 9, 11, and 12) at Opera Nova, a fundraising campaign will be held to support the restoration of the tomb of Felicja Krysiewiczowa, who passed away 55 years ago — an artist and mentor to singers, greatly contributing to the development of Bydgoszcz’s musical culture.
“…Let us hurry to love people, they leave so quickly (…)
then the ordinary silence becomes quite unbearable (…)
when we think of someone and they are no longer with us…”
