Kujawsko-Pomorskie top students: ambitious, hard-working, passionate

Over 1,800 students from primary and secondary schools in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province will receive educational scholarships this year, with a total value of nearly PLN 7 million. Marshal Piotr Całbecki will meet with our top students today (2 June) in the UMK Auditorium. The afternoon will culminate with a lecture by educator and trainer Marta Młyńska and a concert by Wiktor Dyduła.

 

‘I congratulate all scholarship holders on their wonderful achievements and hope that there will always be such ambitious and committed people, because they are the future of our region,’ emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

 

The scholarship projects Professional Talents of Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Top Student of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II are implemented with funds from the regional programme European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021-2027, while the Top Student of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Plus programme is financed from the provincial budget. The scholarship amounts to as much as PLN 500 per month. The support can be used for educational development purposes, including the purchase of books, a computer, participation in additional classes and competitions, payment for internet access, travel to school and accommodation.

 

Special statuettes will be awarded to the best scholarship holders of the programmes and school principals with the highest number of award winners.

Jakub Winiecki – student at Jan Kasprowicz High School No. 1 in Inowrocław

Kacper Mila – student at the University High School in Toruń

Wojciech Szymański – student at the Polish Army Technical School of Electronics No. 7 in Bydgoszcz

Szymon Krukowski – student at the Adam Lorentz Technical School of Forestry in Tuchola

Daria Marcelina Człapa – student at the Ignacy Łukasiewicz Technical School No. 4 in Bydgoszcz

Kacper Szumlas – student at the General Władysław Sikorski Construction School Complex in Inowrocław

Michalina Anna Łatka – student at the 2nd Degree Vocational School No. 1 in Bydgoszcz

Adrian Dąbrowski – student at the First Level Vocational School at the General Władysław Sikorski Construction School Complex in Inowrocław

Bartłomiej Sandecki – student at the University High School in Toruń

Tymoteusz Dziełak – student at the 4th General Secondary School in Toruń

Mateusz Stępniewski – student at the Salesian Society Primary School in Toruń

 

School principals with the highest number of scholarship holders:

Dr Beata Trapnell – principal of the University High School in Toruń (157 scholarship holders) – best school in general education

Zbigniew Grzechowski – headmaster of the School Complex in Mogilno (77 scholarship holders)  – best vocational school

 

Scholarship programmes in numbers

  • scholarships will go to 1,804 young people
  • Top Students of Kujawsko-Pomorskie II – 431 scholarship holders are primary school students and 688 are secondary school students
  • Vocational Talents of Kujawsko-Pomorskie – 420 are technical school students and 100 are vocational school students
  • Top Students of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Plus – 91 students are from primary schools, 10 from technical schools, and 64 from general secondary schools
  • the amount of support ranges from PLN 200 to PLN 500 per month
  • the scholarship is paid for 10 months
  • the total value of the scholarships is PLN 6,736,000.
