JP2 meeting point for the Third Time

Two thousand young people from across the region – participants of youth clubs as well as students from schools named after St. John Paul II and Catholic schools – are taking part in the third edition of JP2 meeting point, an event that combines great fun with an opportunity to discuss the most important issues in life. The gathering, held at Castle Hill (Wola Zamkowa) in Toruń and organized by the regional government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, was officially opened by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and the Bishop of Toruń, Arkadiusz Okroj.

This event reflects values that were close to John Paul II, the patron of our region – civic courage, responsibility, and the search for one’s own path. Our aim is to create a space where young people can find motivation for action and personal development,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The program includes panel discussions with Christian influencers, creative workshops, group dances, and promotional stands presenting social initiatives and the activities of youth clubs.

Among the attractions is Edward Warchocki, Poland’s first autonomous humanoid robot, ready to engage in conversations and interact with event participants.

Partners: ECWM, the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Scout District of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP), the Diocese of Toruń, the Franciscans of the Province of St. Francis of Assisi in Poznań, the St. John Paul II Laboratory in Toruń, and the Faculty of Theology of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
