We invite you to spend the winter holidays with us
The Marshal’s Office cultural institutions—offering activities not only for the youngest residents of the region—have prepared a wide range of attractive events for the winter holidays, which in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship last until 15 February. The programme includes workshops, meetings, lectures, and concerts.
“I am convinced that you won’t be bored during these holidays,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
At the branch of the Gallery and Centre of Children’s Artistic Creativity in Toruń, located at the Culture Mill on Kościuszki Street 75–77, multimedia stop-motion animation workshops will be held during the second week of the holidays (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). At the main venue on Nowomiejski Market Square, art classes will take place from Monday to Friday. Places are still available! Registration by phone: +48 737 336 030. In Włocławek, acting and voice-over workshops for children and young people are under way, organised by the Marshal’s Office Kujawsko-Pomorskie Film Fund and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Academy of Innovation. The event is part of the celebrations of the Year of Film Professionals from Kujawsko-Pomorskie and is co-funded by the regional self-government.
A rich winter holiday programme has also been prepared by the Copernican Library in Toruń and its branches. Activities include art workshops, games and play, literary meetings, experiments, and virtual journeys around the world. Details are available on the library’s website.
In Bydgoszcz, “Eco-Holidays at Bełza’s Library” offers a series of free recycling workshops that creatively combine environmental education, art, and fun. Artistic holiday activities will also take place in branch libraries across the city. The schedule is available on the Bydgoszcz library’s website.
The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Centre of Culture in Bydgoszcz invites participants to a series of ceramics workshops. During one-hour sessions, everyone will be able to create clay vessels and objects. The Centre will also host genealogy workshops and meetings focused on art and handicrafts. The full programme is available on the KPCK website.
The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Academy of Innovation invites children and adults to intergenerational meetings at the Copernican Astrobases. As part of a project implemented under the National Recovery Plan, participants explore the mysteries of space in a unique and inspiring atmosphere. The activities are free of charge and open to everyone. The schedule is available on the KPAI website.
Interesting holiday offers have also been prepared by the Ethnographic Museum in Toruń, including intergenerational workshops, an organic food fair, and communal singing of folk songs. Details can be found on the museum’s website.
Creative family workshops, during which participants will design the museum’s headquarters, will be held at the Museum of the Kujawy and Dobrzyń Land in Włocławek. Information is available on the museum’s website.
A Carnival concert featuring operetta and musical arias will take place at Lubostroń Palace on Saturday (7 February). The Chopin Centre in Szafarnia invites audiences to a Valentine’s Day concert on Sunday (14 February), featuring works by Piazzolla, Bizet, Webber, Wars, and Petersburski.
At the Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń, a Valentine’s Day tour will be held on Saturday (14 February), followed by workshops for couples on Sunday (15 February).
