Heritage Days: two busy weekends ahead

European Heritage Days, an annual celebration of our continent’s culture and traditions, is a project in the field of social historical and cultural education. This year’s events are scheduled for the next two weekends – 13-14 September and 20-21 September. Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski and the coordinator of the regional celebrations, Director of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Centre Ewa Krupa, told journalists today about the events that will take place in Kujawsko-Pomorskie.

This year’s Polish edition focuses our attention on the ubiquitous examples of modernist architecture in our surroundings, both pre-war and post-war. It is precisely because of this ubiquity that we tend to underestimate it. We organise Heritage Days precisely to learn something we did not know yesterday, to notice things in our immediate surroundings that we have passed by a thousand times without paying attention, to go on a trip, attend a lecture, visit a site or see a show that will broaden our horizons. It is worth accepting the invitation, it is worth taking advantage of it! I invite you to participate in the European Heritage Days events in Kujawsko-Pomorskie. And in a broader sense, to discover our beautiful and diverse regional cultural heritage,” encourages Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The conference with Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski and Director Ewa Krupa took place at the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Centre in Bydgoszcz.
