Christmas is approaching, so it’s the perfect time for gingerbread! At the Museum of the Tuchola Forests, children rolled up their sleeves and created a truly festive bustle in the kitchen — from kneading the dough, through rolling and cutting it, all the way to baking.

Yesterday’s workshop brought together first-graders, who prepared spice mixes, blended colourful icings and enthusiastically decorated their gingerbread cookies. There was plenty of joy and creative fun. We also talked about Christmas traditions: decorating the Christmas tree, the Christmas Eve table, the first star and presents.

The museum’s activity as a cultural institution supervised by the Marshal’s Office was inaugurated last year. Since 1 March 2024, the Museum of the Tuchola Forests has operated as a new branch of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Heritage Centre in Toruń.
