Flights to Frankfurt Starting This Sunday

Beginning this Sunday (April 27), Lufthansa is resuming direct flights between Bydgoszcz and Frankfurt am Main. The German airline will operate flights to this key European hub five times a week. The newly launched summer season also brings scheduled flights to Alicante on Spain’s Costa Blanca, as well as charter flights to Tunisia (Enfidha) and Egypt (Marsa Alam).

“We are pleased that Lufthansa is returning to our airport after a break. This is great news for the region’s residents, for Bydgoszcz Airport, and for the regional government, which is the main shareholder of PLB,” said Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski in March during a meeting with representatives of the Lufthansa Group.

The resumption of regular flights to Frankfurt is welcome news not only for those planning their holidays. Frankfurt Airport, the largest commercial airport in Germany and one of the largest in Europe, is a major global hub offering connections to 200 cities worldwide. This makes the route attractive not just for leisure travelers, but also for business passengers who have until now relied on international flights from Warsaw or Berlin.

Our regional airport also offers scheduled flights to:

  • Warsaw (six times a week)
  • Kraków (starting June 13, twice a week)
  • The British Isles:

– Bristol (twice a week)
– Birmingham (three times a week)
– Dublin (twice a week)
– London – three times a week to London Luton and four times to London Stansted

This year’s summer charter destinations, in addition to Egypt and Tunisia, include:

  • Antalya on the Turkish Riviera
  • Crete
  • Rhodes
  • Majorca
