INFORMATION PORTAL OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE Region IN TORUŃ

Representatives of thirteen municipalities from across the region received today (October 24) modern rescue equipment and protective uniforms worth nearly 100,000 PLN in total. The purchase was financed by the Salutaris Association, established on the initiative of the regional government. The new equipment was handed over to local Volunteer Fire Departments (OSP). The ceremony was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki and Vice-President of the Regional Parliament Katarzyna Lubańska.

“The support provided by the Salutaris Association is real help for municipalities and local Volunteer Fire Departments. Thanks to our joint efforts, we can respond to crisis situations more quickly and improve the safety of residents throughout the region,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The meeting at the Marshal’s Office was attended by municipal leaders and firefighters from the OSP units that received the equipment. The donations included, among others, special and station uniforms, helmets, stretchers, air compressor units, and chimney fire extinguishing equipment.

Volunteer Fire Departments receiving support from the Salutaris Association:

• Baruchowo Municipality – OSP Kłotno: electric air compressor (12,000 PLN)
• Choceń Municipality – OSP Czerniewice: stretcher with spine board (10,000 PLN)
• Chrostkowo Municipality – OSP Chrostkowo: two sets of special uniforms (5,000 PLN)
• Dobrzyń nad Wisłą – OSP Dobrzyń nad Wisłą: six sets of station uniforms (3,540 PLN)
• Górzno Municipality – OSP Górzno: five special uniforms and two safety harnesses (14,340 PLN)
• Kijewo Królewskie Municipality – OSP Trzebcz Szlachecki: special uniform and leather boots (4,755 PLN)
• Kikół Municipality – OSP Wola: special uniform, chimney firefighting equipment, backpack sprayer, helmet, and protective coverall (4,500 PLN)
• Książki Municipality – OSP Książki: two sets of special uniforms (5,000 PLN)
• Radomin Municipality – OSP Łubki: reciprocating saw, lifting slings, threshold support, and airbag restraint (6,350 PLN)
• Śliwice Municipality – OSP Śliwice: two sets of special uniforms (5,000 PLN)
• Unisław Municipality – OSP Grzybno: three sets of helmets with accessories (6,900 PLN)
• Wąpielsk Municipality – OSP Radziki Duże: two sets of special uniforms (3,360 PLN)
• Włocławek Municipality – OSP Włocławek: support for modernization of the fire truck entrance (10,000 PLN)

The Salutaris Local Government Association has for years supported municipalities and counties in responding to crisis situations, including natural disasters and emergencies. Material and financial aid enables Volunteer Fire Departments to carry out their duties more effectively and to restore safety in affected communities more quickly.

The association, established to organize mutual aid and solidarity, brings together cities, municipalities, and counties that maintain the Regional Solidarity Fund — a rapid response instrument for disasters and emergencies. Salutaris currently has 100 members: municipalities, counties, and the regional government.
