EFKP: we invest in education and vocational training

Project funding agreements for a total of PLN 120 million were received today (19 March) at the Marshal’s Office by representatives of the beneficiaries of our regional programme European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie (EFKP) 2021-2027. The ceremony was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, member of the regional board Marek Wojtkowski and regional councillor Przemysław Ziemecki.

 

Today, the quality of education increasingly depends on modern teaching aids and, in the process of vocational training, on specialised workshop equipment. We are committed to ensuring that the standards of vocational schools meet the needs of the labour market, which is why we consistently support their modernisation and retrofitting,’ stressed Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

 

We have a year of children and young people in our Vice-Marshal Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, speaking to journalists. – EU funds in today’s allocation will go to investment projects, as well as to so-called soft projects, involving training to develop the skills and complete the qualifications of young people.

 

The largest pool of funds has just been allocated for projects in the field of education and vocational training. This includes funding for training and workshops to enhance the competencies of students and teachers, extra-curricular activities for children and young people, as well as the modernisation of facilities and equipment for school laboratories. Among the tasks covered by the support distributed today are Among the tasks supported today are the modernisation and equipment of the Public Vocational College in Grudziądz, the construction of a teaching and workshop facility for the School Complex in Kowal (Włocławek poviat), the retrofitting of vocational workshops in 11 schools in Wloclawek, the renovation of car workshops and the purchase of modern teaching aids at the School Complex in Kowalewo Pomorskie (Golub-Dobrzyń poviat), and the modernisation of the 1st Level Public Music School in Konecko (Aleksandrów poviat) with the equipping of a concert hall and the purchase of instruments.

 

The agreements also include subsidies for the modernisation of tram tracks in Toruń and funds for water and sewage management – the water treatment stations in Rogalin (Radziejów County) and Nowe (Świecie County) will be rebuilt, and the water supply system in Bobrowniki (Lipno County) will be modernised.
