Pre-Easter crafts exhibition (photos)

Today (10 April), the Marshal’s Office is hosting its annual Easter crafts exhibition under the motto ‘We too can do’. The combined fair was opened by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska and Vice-President of the Regional Parliament of the Voivodeship Katarzyna Lubańska.

 

– Created with passion, the objects are the result of months of work by the charges of organisations that activate and integrate people with disabilities. In the hand-made decorations, we can see the heart put into them, for which I would like to thank you,’ said Marshal Piotr Całbecki. – Easter is a time to share love. I wish you this love, as well as joy, understanding of others and ever-present goodness.

 

– Easter is unique and shows, like no other, that good always wins,’ stressed Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska. ’Thank you that, through these unique decorations, you convey the goodness flowing from your hearts, and all buyers can take them home and spend this most important holiday in our tradition surrounded by them.

 

– On behalf of the president of the regional parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, and all the voivodship councillors, I would like to wish you a wonderful Easter and get rid of the negative thoughts that accompany us every day,’ added deputy president of the regional parliament, Katarzyna Lubańska. – Each exhibition of handicrafts at the Marshal’s Office is a signal that it is time to start preparing for celebration.

 

Participants from 35 social integration institutions from all over the voivodeship – occupational therapy workshops, community self-help homes, social welfare homes and special education centres, as well as artists associated in non-governmental organisations working on behalf of people with disabilities – present their works.

 

Among other things, visitors can buy original Easter eggs, reeds, embroidered doilies, cards and Christmas decorations. All proceeds from sales will go towards the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

 

The Marshal’s Office organises similar exhibitions-fairs twice a year – before Easter and before Christmas. The event is financed by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship’s local government (as part of the ‘Equal Opportunities 2030+’ project).
