Discussing the Region’s Self Government with Bydgoszcz Youth
Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski met today (March 18) at the Marshal’s Office with students from the Managerial Technical School in Bydgoszcz. The occasion was the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Self-Government Lesson. This year, students from nearly 70 schools in the region are participating in the sessions.
These lessons are dedicated to school youth, particularly students from grades 6-8 of primary schools and high schools. During the sessions, students learn about the functioning of the region’s self-government and expand their knowledge about our region, its events, and notable figures. By taking on the roles of Regional Parliament councilors and participating in debates, young people practice public speaking skills and develop their ability to express opinions. The lesson concludes with a vote on projects proposed by the participants.
The program enjoys great interest, with all slots filled until June. A new edition will start in September. Registration details will be announced in August on www.kujawsko-pomorskie.pl.
