Cultural activists awarded
With the participation of Deputy Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski and the President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, the ceremony of presenting the annual Marshal Awards in the field of culture was held today (December 10). Among the awardees are artists and people without whom cultural institutions could not function.
Thirteen people associated with the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Center in Bydgoszcz, the Voivodeship Center for Cultural Animation in Toruń, the Gallery and Center for Children’s Artistic Creation in Toruń, the “Wozownia” Art Gallery in Toruń, received the awards. As well Chopin Center in Szafarnia (Golub-Dobrzyń County), Lubostroń Palace in Lubostroń (Żnin County), “Znaki czasu” Center for Contemporary Art in Toruń, as well as the “Bard” Cultural Initiative in Bydgoszcz and the Lipno Cultural Society named after Pola Negri.
The event was highlighted by a performance from the repertoire of the Wilam Horzyca Theater, “Call on a call” directed by Piotr Ratajczak.
