Congratulations to the authors of the best reports from 11 November

We have concluded this year’s competition for reports from the celebrations of National Independence Day. The contest was open to entire families as well as local rural women’s associations from the region. The reporting competition and the art competition “Sporty Goose” were part of our campaign “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St. Martin’s Day.” As always, participants showcased great creativity and originality. Below we present the winning and commended works.

“I am pleased that the people of our region have been gathering on 11 November for several years now to celebrate this day together with family and friends. Our campaign Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St. Martin’s Day’ was intended to build a tradition of official Independence Day celebrations combined with family gatherings at the table, with goose as the main dish,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The competition winners were selected in two categories:

General category

This category was open to families. Winners will receive gift cards for a chain of home appliance stores. The first prize was not awarded; the remaining prizes go to:

  • Dorota Kundera from Łubianka (Toruń County) – 2nd place and a gift card worth 1,500 PLN
  • Laura Sadowska from Mała Nieszawka (Toruń County) – 3rd place and a gift card worth 1,000 PLN (photo of the entry below)

We also awarded a distinction to a video by Mateusz Kardas from Toruń. The prize is a gift card worth 500 PLN.

Rural Women’s Associations category

The first prize in this category was not awarded. The jury decided that:

  • 2nd place and a 1,500 PLN prize goes to the “Parcelanki” Rural Women’s Association in Mazowsze-Parcele (Toruń County)
  • 3rd place and a 1,000 PLN prize goes to the Rural Women’s Association in Dusocin (Grudziądz County)

All winners and distinguished participants are invited to the award ceremony on 3 December at 10:00 a.m. at the Marshal’s Office in Toruń, Teatralny Square 2.
