Christmas Workshops and Caroling in Front of the Marshal’s Office

Christmas is fast approaching, and a truly festive atmosphere has taken over in front of the Marshal’s Office. Today (December 15), during caroling with Marshal Piotr Całbecki, we joined together to light up the Christmas tree.

We are approaching the most beautiful holiday in our tradition, filled with love and family warmth,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “May these days bring you health, peace, and a break from daily struggles.

At precisely 3:00 PM, a festive parade led by a brass band from Zławieś Wielka set off from the Copernicus monument in the Old Town Square, making its way through the streets of the historic district. The parade was accompanied by Santa Claus, stilt walkers, and townsfolk in traditional costumes.

In the square in front of the regional government offices, the most beautiful Polish carols were performed by the brass band from Zławieś Wielka, along with artists Asia Czajkowska, Mateusz Wiśniewski, and Sara Pach. Young and old participants alike enjoyed workshops for making Christmas ornaments and cards, as well as decorating gingerbread cookies. Families were treated to holiday-themed performances and the traditional baking of gingerbread cookies using a recipe from the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

The highlight of the celebration was the lighting of the Christmas tree, which sparkled with thousands of colorful lights and decorations.

Visitors can also admire a carved nativity scene and an advent calendar displayed in front of the Marshal’s Office.
