Chełmno will shine with a feast of colors and sounds!

Marshal Piotr Całbecki invites you to a unique event, which this year will take place in Chełmno for the very first time. From tomorrow (August 28) until Saturday (August 30), residents and visitors of the City of Lovers can enjoy illuminations and light installations. All this as part of the just-beginning Light-Sensitive Festival.

“Tomorrow Chełmno will sparkle with the magic of light! We are about to experience extraordinary illuminations, mappings, and installations that will transform the medieval old town into an open-air art gallery. I am convinced that the light arrangements will delight both the residents and guests of Chełmno. It will be a true feast for the senses. I warmly invite everyone!” – says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

“The Light-Sensitive Festival in Chełmno is an original cultural event, in the tradition of light festivals organized all over the world. The picturesque location of Chełmno on nine hills, on the right bank of the Lower Vistula Valley, with its beautiful and perfectly preserved medieval old town, makes it a natural choice for such an event, which has the potential to attract crowds not only from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region,” reads the organizers’ announcement.

Works of light art will be installed, among others, on the historic water tower, the façade of the Town Hall, along Dominikańska Street, inside the former Church of the Holy Spirit, near the miniature park of Teutonic castles, and in Nowe Planty Park. Artists from Poland and Italy will present their creations.
