Last Day of the “Visions of Time” Exhibition

Acclaimed by critics and lovers of contemporary art and regarded as one of the most important cultural events of 2025, the exhibition of works by the outstanding American artist Bill Viola can be viewed for the last time today (31 December) at the Centre for Contemporary Art “Znaki Czasu” (CSW) on General Sikorski Embankment and at the headquarters of the Tumult Foundation at the New Town Market Square in Toruń.

“The Visions of Time exhibition consists of extraordinary installations that confirm the artist’s worldwide reputation. I invite everyone to see them and experience truly remarkable visual and spiritual sensations,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The weekly magazine Polityka recognized the exhibition as the most important cultural event of 2025 in the “gallery” category: “We rarely host exhibitions in Poland by artists of this stature, featuring works that leave such a powerful impression on the memory and the heart,” the magazine wrote.

Bill Viola created many groundbreaking films and video installations that engage audiences on multiple levels—intellectual, emotional, and sensory. His works, presented in museums and galleries around the world, address fundamental existential questions of the human condition. Experiencing Bill Viola’s art is a spiritual journey and a voyage into the realm of metaphysical sensations.

The event, organized by the Centre for Contemporary Art and the Tumult Foundation and accompanying the 33rd edition of the Camerimage Festival, is co-financed by the regional self-government.
