Arlekinada Returns to Inowrocław for the 23rd Time

Eight performances and monodramas prepared by theatres and actors from across Poland will be presented during the 23rd National Festival of Small Theatre Forms Arlekinada, which begins today (March 27) in Inowrocław. The event is held under the patronage of Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Theatre has become for you a passion and a space for expressing values and shaping sensitivity. I wish all the young actors participating in the Arlekinada festival success on the stage of the Municipal Theatre in Inowrocław,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki, addressing the participants.

The young actors will be evaluated by a jury composed of:

  • Ilona Ostrowska – film, television, and theatre actress
  • Łukasz Wudarski – Director of the Voivodeship Cultural Animation Centre in Toruń
  • Łukasz Maciejewski – film and theatre critic

The gala finale and closing of Arlekinada will take place on Saturday (March 28). The final will feature a performance by Lemon Trio with Igor Herbut.

Last year, the main prize was awarded to the Zielona Mrówa Satire Theatre from Lublin.

The originator and initiator of the theatrical event is Elżbieta Piniewska, President of the Regional Parliament. The event is organized by the City of Inowrocław, the Kujawskie Cultural Centre, and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region local government.
