INFORMATION PORTAL OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE Region IN TORUŃ

Today (8 December), the annual Christmas handicraft exhibition for people with disabilities, titled “We Can Do It Too”, was held at the Marshal’s Office. The accompanying fair was opened by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, and Member of the Regional Executive Board Marek Wojtkowski.

Participants of occupational therapy workshops and community self-help centres, residents of social welfare homes and special education centres, as well as artists involved in non-governmental organisations supporting people with disabilities, presented their works. All proceeds from sales are allocated to the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.

The exhibitions of works by people with disabilities, organised by the Department for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities within the Department of Social Affairs of the Marshal’s Office, are cyclical events held during the preparations for Christmas and Easter.

The event is funded by the regional self-government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region (as part of the “Equal Opportunities 2030+” project).
