The President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, and the Member of the Regional Board, Marek Wojtkowski, were guests at today’s (September 26) gala marking the 150th anniversary of the spa in Inowrocław. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie region is one of the national leaders in the field of spa treatment. “We are consistently building and strengthening this sector of the economy, which generates jobs and prosperity for local communities,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

A significant instrument in strengthening the spa sector is EU funding within our regional programs across subsequent financial perspectives. In the 2014–2020 perspective, the city received 80 million PLN for projects important to Inowrocław. Within the 2021–2027 perspective (the regional program European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie, EFKP), 33 million PLN has already flowed into the “City of Salt”—primarily for projects supporting the spa sector, including energy modernization of buildings, expansion of cycling paths, urban water retention and green areas, as well as low-emission public passenger transport.

The city is also well on its way to securing EFKP funds for a thorough modernization of the open-air swimming pool, which has not been renovated for years. The project evaluation procedure in the grant competition, for which the local authorities have submitted an application, is currently underway. Most likely, as early as October, we will be able to announce good news on this matter for the residents of Inowrocław.

The pride and joy of the regional government is our sanatorium Przy Tężni, which currently offers excellent conditions for treatment and rehabilitation, appreciated by the steadily growing number of patients (10,000 in 2022, 11,200 in 2024). The result of consistent investment is modern infrastructure and truly good hotel standards.
