40 million for road investments in the Lipno district

Reconstruction of another section of Voivodeship Road No. 541 between Turza Wilcza in Lipno County and the voivodeship border is underway. A roundabout is being built in Dyblin at the intersection of Voivodeship Roads No. 558 and 562. Advanced work is also underway on other roads in this part of the region.

The scope of the project, worth over PLN 10 million, carried out on a 6-kilometer section of Voivodeship Road No. 541 between Turza Wilcza and the voivodeship border, includes:

  • repairing and replacing the road edge structure
  • resurfacing the road
  • restoring the shoulders
  • reconstructing roadside ditches
  • reconstructing road markings
  • replacing vertical markings and guide posts

The contractor (Road and Construction Company from Gostynin) has just taken over the construction site. Completion of the work is scheduled for this year. After acceptance, the route will be covered by a 5-year warranty.

In Kamień Kotowy, this route connects with Voivodeship Road No. 559, which was rebuilt in previous years.

We previously commissioned a similar scope of work on Voivodeship Road No. 557 on a 6-kilometer section between Janiszew and Stary Kobrzyniec on the border with Rypin County. The Rogów Road Construction Company is responsible for the nearly PLN 12 million worth of work. Completion and acceptance are planned for this fall.

The modernization of Voivodeship Road No. 558 on a 5-kilometer section between Lipno and Kłokock is underway. Onde is responsible for the nearly PLN 9 million worth of work. Additionally, as a separate project, we are planning to repair the sidewalk along Dobrzyńska Street in Lipno.

Recently, the reconstruction of a 2-kilometer section of Voivodeship Road No. 562 between Kamienica and the voivodeship border has also begun. Onde is also carrying out the work. The contract value is nearly PLN 5 million.

The projects are financed from the voivodeship budget.

A safe roundabout instead of a “broken” right-of-way

Advanced work is underway on the construction of a new roundabout at the junction of Voivodeship Roads No. 558 and 562 in Dyblin. The contractor (Road Works Company from Lipno) is reconstructing underground utilities, including storm sewers and excavations for new service channels and conduits that will power the lighting system. Additional ground reinforcement for the roadways will also be necessary. The design of the three-entry roundabout also includes the construction of sidewalks, electrical grids, and telecommunications lines. The geometry of the intersection entrances will require speed reductions, further improving safety. A reinforced concrete ring has been designed around the central island, making maneuvering easier for trucks. The roundabout, including the pedestrian crossings and access roads, will be illuminated.

The investment costs PLN 5.2 million. Completion of the main works is planned for this year. European Funds for Kujawy and Pomerania for 2021-27 will be used to settle the project.

Record Road Spending

We are allocating over PLN 2 billion for the provincial road modernization program in the coming years. Under the FEdKP 2021-2027 program, we are allocating €136 million for road investments, including our regional bypass construction program. We will also use the central funding we have received for some of the road infrastructure expansion projects (approximately PLN 170 million for bypasses and approximately PLN 450 million for the expansion of other roads).

Currently, the most important road investments underway on regional roads include:

  • modernization of Regional Road No. 268 from Brzezie to Brześć Kujawski in Włocławek County
  • modernization of Regional Road No. 563 Rypin-voivodeship border in Rypin County
  • construction of the Mogilno bypass along Regional Road No. 254 in Mogilno County
