30th Anniversary of CPP Toruń-Pacific
One of the largest cereal manufacturers in the region is celebrating three decades of operation within the Nestlé and General Mills group. Today’s gala, attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, is also an opportunity to summarize the company’s achievements.
“We are growing, and we are increasingly seen as a better region. We have made significant modernization efforts. It would have been more difficult without companies like CPP Toruń-Pacific. We are boldly navigating international paths. I wish you continued success,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki during the festive event.
The Toruń-based company CPP was founded at the dawn of Poland’s transformation, as a result of the privatization of the Potato Industry Enterprise, which in the late 1970s began producing instant cornflakes. Since 1994, it has been part of the global food group Cereal Partners Worldwide, founded by the world giants Nestlé and General Mills. In 2003, it opened a factory in Lubicz near Toruń, and in 2010, a logistics center in Grębocin near Toruń. It delivers cereals to over 60 countries worldwide (including, outside of Europe, to Turkey, Israel, and the Gulf countries).
CPP is socially engaged, sponsoring events and cultural institutions, as well as athletes, and supporting education and environmental protection. It is also an employer that organizes, among other things, internships and student workshops, which help young people start their careers. In 2015, the company was awarded the Unitas Durat Palatinatus Cuiaviano-Pomeraniensis medal.
The host of today’s event is the managing director of CPP, Monika Michniak. The gala is also attended by Aleksander Wasilewski, CEO of Nestlé Polska, and Wojciech Bronisław Sobieszak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CPP.
During the gala, long-term employees who have been with the company since its inception will be honored.
