Regional Bus Transport: Modern and Environmentally Friendly
The Marshal’s Office-owned transport company Kujawsko-Pomorski Transport Samochodowy (KPTS) has installed 24 charging stations in six towns and cities across the region for the electric Iveco buses purchased by the regional government. Vice-Marshal of the Region Aneta Jędrzejewska is taking part in today’s (31 July) official launch of the charging stations in Rypin.
The regional government purchased 25 electric buses and 15 hybrid buses, securing support for the investment from the National Recovery Plan. The vehicles were supplied by ABP Bus & Coach, the representative of the Iveco Group in Poland, selected through a tender procedure.
To operate the electric vehicles, KPTS installed 24 charging stations in six locations across the region:
- Brodnica – six single-vehicle charging stations and one dual-vehicle charging station
- Rypin – six single-vehicle charging stations
- Lipno – four single-vehicle charging stations
- Mogilno – three single-vehicle charging stations
- Włocławek – two single-vehicle charging stations
- Inowrocław – two single-vehicle charging stations
The investment, co-financed under our regional European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze programme, is worth PLN 6.7 million.
The buses purchased by the regional government were also presented during the event in Rypin. The final batch of vehicles was delivered in June.
