“Rybitwa” to Kołobrzeg

On the first day of the summer holidays, we are launching our popular seasonal regional rail services to well-known Baltic Sea holiday destinations. As early as 27 June, the “Rybitwa” train will depart from Toruń for Kołobrzeg.

“Safe and comfortable transportation during the holiday season has been one of our priorities for several years. I am confident that residents of the region will gladly take advantage of the summer rail connections to Kołobrzeg, a popular seaside resort on the Western Coast known among spa visitors,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The “Rybitwa” will depart from Toruń Wschodni (Toruń East Station) at 7:15 a.m. and arrive in Kołobrzeg shortly after noon.

Detailed Timetable

For more than a year, the seasonal offer has been complemented by a direct weekday train (Monday to Friday) connecting Bydgoszcz and Kołobrzeg.

Passengers can also travel to Szczecin on the “Barnim” train, jointly financed by the regional self-governments of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Wielkopolskie and Zachodniopomorskie reg. The train to the capital of Zachodniopomorskie departs daily from Bydgoszcz Główna station.

Passengers can already take advantage of our regional trains serving popular leisure destinations in:

  • Chmielniki (Bydgoszcz County),
  • Kamionki (Toruń County),
  • Iława (Warmińsko-mazurskie Region).

Outdoor enthusiasts, including kayaking lovers and those seeking peace, forests and lakes, can travel to Tleń (Świecie County) on our seasonal “Borsuk” train. The service departs from Toruń, travels via Grudziądz and Tleń, and terminates in Czersk (Pomorskie Region).

On Saturday (27 June), “Latarnik”, the Marshal’s seasonal holiday train to Hel, will resume service. The train operates daily on the route Bydgoszcz Główna – Hel, stopping among others in the Tri-City area, Władysławowo, Chałupy, Jastarnia and Jurata.

The financial compensation paid by the Marshal’s Office to passenger rail operators selected through public tenders (Arriva and Polregio) will reach a record PLN 267 million in 2026. This amount also includes infrastructure access charges and station fees, totaling PLN 37 million.

The regional self-government owns a fleet of 33 trains, which continues to expand. In 2027, another seven modern trainsets currently being manufactured by Pesa Bydgoszcz will enter service. The contract is worth PLN 240 million and is financed through the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027 regional programme and the state budget.

The recently announced Integrated Railway Network presents national investment plans that will significantly improve public transport for residents of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

Key Railway Investments Planned in the Region

  • Construction of the high-speed rail line: Port Polska – Płock – Włocławek – Toruń – Grudziądz – Gdańsk,
