Current LAG Calls for Proposals: Business Development, Adult Education and Social Inclusion
Twenty-seven Local Action Groups (LAGs) operate across our region. These partnerships, formed by residents, non-governmental organizations, and local governments, implement initiatives designed to engage and support local communities. Their activities are financed in part through European funds made available under the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) instrument. Through their websites, LAGs announce calls for proposals that provide funding for projects important to local communities. We encourage residents and organizations to explore the currently open calls.
“Together with Local Action Groups and the institutions and organizations operating within their structures, we are able to respond effectively to the real needs and challenges faced by residents. This is possible because we have entrusted local communities with both the resources and the tools needed to make use of these funds. In doing so, we have effectively created a participatory budget on a regional scale,” explains Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
Current calls announced by LAGs offer grants for business start-ups and development, social activation initiatives for adults, and projects aimed at improving access to small-scale public infrastructure. Funding is available through both the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027 programme and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Current LAG Calls at a Glance:
- 12 open calls for proposals;
- Three calls dedicated to small entrepreneurs for starting or expanding business activities, with nearly PLN 3 million available in total;
- Up to PLN 2.5 million available for adult educational activation projects under a call announced by the Bory Tucholskie Local Action Group.
Local Action Groups are organizations established by residents, non-governmental organizations, and local authorities to implement initiatives that strengthen and activate local communities. There are 27 such partnerships operating throughout the region. They work in both urban and rural areas and make use of European Union funds managed by the Marshal’s Office, as well as resources allocated through the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) instrument.
By placing financial resources and decision-making tools directly in the hands of local communities, the region has created a participatory budget on a regional scale. Kujawy and Pomorze is the only region in Poland implementing CLLD on such a large scale.
