FEdKP Agreements: Millions for Social Integration

Representatives of beneficiaries of our regional programme, European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze (FEdKP), received twenty-seven project financing agreements today (May 13) at the Marshal’s Office. The projects have a total value of PLN 64 million. This time, funding is being launched, among other things, for investments in social infrastructure, the expansion of cycling paths, and the revitalization of public spaces. The ceremonial meeting was attended by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Vice Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, Member of the Regional Board Marek Wojtkowski, Chairwoman of the Regional Assembly Elżbieta Piniewska, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Assembly Przemysław Sznajdrowski, and Regional Councillor Józef Łyczak. “Thank you for today’s meeting and for the work you have put into preparing these projects. Thanks to your commitment, investments that respond to the needs of local communities and support the development of the economy of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region can be successfully implemented,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

“Thank you for contributing to the development of our region and for carrying out projects that genuinely improve the quality of life of residents,” Vice Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska told the beneficiaries. “We are keeping our fingers crossed that all the initiatives proceed according to schedule and end in success. I hope that soon we will be able to observe together the results of these efforts and see how they benefit the people of our region. After all, everyone here – regional councillors, members of the regional board, and local government representatives—is working precisely for them.”

“Every time I review the list of projects, I discover how many good and necessary initiatives are being implemented throughout the region. This is also the best proof of the balanced development of our region,” said Chairwoman of the Regional Assembly Elżbieta Piniewska. “I would also like to remind you that as beneficiaries you receive a certain kind of obligation – to do good for your local communities. I wish you success in implementing all your projects!”

One of the largest projects launched today in terms of cost will be implemented by the Blue Tulips House Foundation in Bydgoszcz. The project, worth nearly PLN 12 million (including PLN 6.5 million in FEdKP funding), involves the creation of a therapeutic centre for people with autism and other disabilities. For this purpose, the building of the former Primary School No. 9 will be adapted. The facility will include rooms for individual and group therapy, a sensory integration room, a training apartment, and a respite care wing with temporary accommodation units.

A significant portion of the funds distributed today (nearly PLN 14 million in total) will be allocated to the creation of intergenerational integration centres. Such facilities will be established in Stolno (Chełmno County), Rogóźno (Grudziądz County), Moszczonne (Lipno County), Lutobórz and Śmiłowice (both in Włocławek County), as well as in Waganiec in Aleksandrów County, where the manor house of the descendants of Marcello Bacciarelli, court painter to the last King of Poland, will be adapted for this purpose.

With cycling enthusiasts in mind, the municipality of Grudziądz, in cooperation with the local government of the City of Grudziądz, will expand the cycling path network in this part of the region along the section from Miłoleśna Street in Grudziądz to the village of Dębieniec (PLN 6.5 million in funding for this project). The local government of Zakrzewo Municipality in Aleksandrów County received funding for the construction of the Kuczkowo–Sędzin pedestrian and cycling route. Financial support for expanding cycling routes was also awarded to the local government of Mogilno County.

Among today’s beneficiaries are also the Municipality of Mogilno, which is preparing to expand its municipal park; the Municipality of the City of Wąbrzeźno, which will establish a multifunctional Youth Cultural Centre; and the Światło Hospice Association in Toruń, which will open a modern Support and Care Centre for dependent persons and their caregivers.
