We are building a modern bus station in Rypin

New platforms, a ticket office, a waiting room, and a staff welfare area are among the elements of the new bus station that will be built in Rypin by the end of next year. Parking spaces for cars and bicycles will also be available around the facility. The investment will be carried out by our transport company, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Transport Samochodowy (KPTS).

We are consistently investing in public transport and building a new quality of bus connections. The modern bus station in Rypin, which will replace the existing worn-out facility, will improve the quality of passenger service and the comfort of the company’s employees,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The building will be divided into two zones: one for passengers and one for employees, which will include, among other things, drivers’ rooms and a traffic dispatcher’s office.

Next to the station, three new covered platforms and a bicycle parking area will be built, as well as a manoeuvring yard with fourteen parking spaces for buses, charging stations for electric vehicles, and twenty parking spaces for passenger cars.

The investment has been divided into several stages. In the first stage, following the selection of the contractor, underground infrastructure and surface works will be carried out.

The construction, financed by KPTS, will cost PLN 6.5 million.

The regional self-government is systematically investing in modern infrastructure and bus fleets.

We have purchased forty modern, environmentally friendly and comfortable buses (15 hybrid and 25 electric) for PLN 125 million, obtaining support from the National Recovery Plan (KPO) amounting to PLN 91 million.

To serve the new electric fleet, new charging stations are being built. We are also modernising the base of our regional carrier—the local-government-owned company Kujawsko-Pomorskie Transport Samochodowy. At the invitation of the regional self-government, which is its main shareholder, 25 municipalities and 8 counties have joined the company.

The regional self-government is also the organiser of rail services in the region. Expenditure on rail transport in 2026 will amount to a record PLN 267 million. This figure includes the costs of access charges to railway infrastructure and station fees—PLN 37 million.
