INFORMATION PORTAL OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE Region IN TORUŃ

Representatives of beneficiaries of our regional programme, European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze (FEdKP), received 42 agreements worth a total of PLN 65 million today (25 February) at the Marshal’s Office. The funds now being launched will be allocated to improving the effectiveness of education, projects related to the revitalisation of public spaces and public infrastructure, support for rescue services, and initiatives enhancing the accessibility and quality of terminal and long-term care. The programme’s contracting rate stands at 66 percent, placing us among the top three regions.

“Together we are transforming our region. Thank you for applying for EU funds, even though it is not easy,” said Vice-Marshal of the Region Aneta Jędrzejewska, addressing the participants of today’s ceremony, primarily representatives of local governments. Also present at the meeting were Chair of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, Vice-Chair Przemysław Sznajdrowski, Member of the Region Board Dariusz Kurzawa, and Regional Councillor Tadeusz Pogoda.

Among today’s FEdKP beneficiaries are, among others, the municipality of Świecie (Świecie County), the municipality of Jabłonowo Pomorskie (Brodnica County), and the municipality of Gruta (Grudziądz County). The first of these is launching a PLN 4.5 million project under which students from 10 municipal primary schools will benefit from additional and remedial classes, while teachers employed in these schools will take part in professional development training and courses. The municipality of Jabłonowo Pomorskie has received PLN 5 million for the modernisation of its heat production and distribution system, while the municipality of Gruta will invest nearly PLN 3 million of EU funding in the comprehensive modernisation of its local water supply network.
