New Regional Train Timetable
Twenty-five new connections, thirteen pairs of trains on the reactivated line to Ciechocinek, and more services at weekends are the most important changes introduced in the new regional train timetable, which has been in force since 14 December.
“We are setting new records in rail transport,” emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “Next year, we will allocate a record PLN 250 million in subsidies for rail services so that residents of the region can travel affordably, comfortably, and safely using our modern rolling stock.”
“It will be a good year for railways,” assures Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska. “Our trains will cover 13% more kilometres than in the outgoing year. There will be 25 new connections, and we will extend the routes of a further nine services to make travel easier for passengers transferring from other trains.”
To Ciechocinek for One Zloty
The inaugural train journey from Toruń to Ciechocinek on 14 December attracted great interest from passengers. On the Aleksandrów Kujawski–Ciechocinek route, thirteen pairs of trains will operate on working days and ten pairs at weekends. Some services have been extended to Toruń.

Until 15 February 2026, all passengers will pay a symbolic fare of one zloty for travel on the Aleksandrów Kujawski–Ciechocinek route. After this period, a special offer will be introduced for seniors aged 65 and over, under which the ticket price will be only PLN 4.
New Rail Connections
Two new connections have been introduced on the Toruń–Mogilno route. A new train has also been coordinated in Gniezno with services operated by Koleje Wielkopolskie, giving passengers travelling from Poznań to Toruń a sixth pair of trains. The morning train from Gniezno to Toruń has been extended to Toruń Wschód station.
More services are also operating between Mogilno and Bydgoszcz (via Inowrocław). On both working days and weekends, six new trains now run on this route, two of which have been extended to Kaliska Kujawskie.
From Bydgoszcz, an additional train departs towards Łódź, also serving Toruń and Jabłonowo Pomorskie. On the Bydgoszcz–Kołobrzeg route, trains now operate in both directions on all days of the week.
The timetable retains the summer services launched earlier this year from Bydgoszcz to Tuchola and Chełmża, as well as from Toruń to Grudziądz, Skępe, and Sierpc.
During the holiday season, popular seasonal trains to well-known tourist destinations will return. The Rybitwa will once again run from Toruń Wschód to Kołobrzeg, while the Borsuk will provide connections to Tleń, Oś, and Czersk (Pomorskie Region). The Barnim—a daily train from Bydgoszcz to Szczecin—will also remain in the timetable.
Detailed information on the new rail connections is available in the presentation prepared by the Transport Department of the Marshal’s Office.
Special New Year’s Eve Trains
In just a few days, thousands of people will welcome the New Year at Toruń’s Old Town Square during the “New Year’s Eve Hit Power” concert organized with Polsat. The regional self-government, which is a co-organizer of the event, will ensure a safe return home for concert participants. Six trains departing from Toruń’s two railway stations will take passengers to 70 towns and cities across the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

Spending on rail transport will also rise, amounting to PLN 267 million. A further PLN 37 million will be allocated for access to railway infrastructure and station fees.
Next year, seven modern electric multiple units manufactured by the Bydgoszcz-based company Pesa will enter service, complementing a fleet that is already 75% owned by the regional self-government.
