INFORMATION PORTAL OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE OF THE KUJAWSKO-POMORSKIE Region IN TORUŃ

A total of 234 educational institutions in the region will receive the “ABC of Economics” and “ABC of Empathy” packages, which will help children gain comprehensive knowledge about the world of finance and building social relationships in an accessible way. During today’s (October 13) symbolic handover of the packages to representatives of educational and childcare institutions, participants included the President of the Regional Parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, and the Member of the Regional Executive Board, Marek Wojtkowski.

“What’s important is that you are receiving a systemic solution with training, worksheets, and aesthetically designed textbooks. You are ambassadors of good projects,” said President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, addressing the teachers present at the event.

The “ABC of Economics” packages include books, infographics, and worksheets necessary for teachers to introduce children aged 5–10 to the world of economics.

Thanks to the “ABC of Empathy” packages, the youngest students will learn tolerance, self-understanding, and sensitivity to the needs of others. The training materials will also be provided to teachers and caregivers of children with disabilities.

The materials will be distributed among 23 local governments in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The “ABC of Economics” packages will go to 230 schools and kindergartens, while the “ABC of Empathy” packages will reach 12 educational and childcare institutions.

The total value of the projects amounts to 900,000 PLN. Funding for their implementation comes from the National Recovery Plan and the own resources of the regional self-government.
