Things happening on the roads in Inowrocław County

We have completed the modernization of two more roads in Inowrocław County. The construction of a new roundabout in Broniewice is halfway done. Preparations are underway for further investments in this part of the voivodeship.

We are maintaining a good pace of work, and the secured funding allows us to commission additional repairs. Our priority is the safety of all road users, which is why we not only modernize roads, build bicycle paths, and rebuild key intersections, but also implement a program to equip regional roads with illuminated pedestrian crossings and bus stops. This is our response to the expectations of residents – emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

New road surfaces completed
We have completed the acceptance of 2.5 kilometers of the rebuilt regional road no. 412 between the towns of Przedbojewice and Rożniaty. The project included laying new asphalt layers, strengthening the shoulders, adjusting the height of existing intersections and driveways, restoring drainage ditches, and replacing vertical and horizontal road markings. The work, carried out by the company Inodrog, cost PLN 3.2 million.

A similar scope of work was previously commissioned for regional road no. 252 on a 2-kilometer section between Pławinek and Dziennice. The contractor was Drogomex, and the works cost PLN 2.4 million. In earlier projects, the adjacent section toward the Inowrocław bypass junction was also rebuilt.

Roundabout halfway completed
Construction is underway on a roundabout in Broniewice on regional road no. 255, which connects Pakość with Strzelno (in Mogilno County). The works are halfway done. The project also includes rebuilding a section of the regional road from the railway crossing to property no. 300 (approx. 440 meters long). Additionally, the structure of a new section of the county road toward Janikowo (up to the embankment) has already been built. The old road running along the tracks will soon be dismantled. This solution moves the new roundabout away from the existing railway crossing on the Poznań–Inowrocław line. The new three-way roundabout will feature sidewalks and pedestrian crossings, as well as a bus bay (before entering the roundabout from the Strzelno side). The project also includes drainage, access roads to properties and fields, and lighting installation. The western side of the roundabout will be lowered to allow passage for oversized vehicles.

The completion of the main construction works is planned for this year. The contractor is Polbud Polak. The investment costs PLN 5.8 million and is co-financed by the European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021–2027.

Further investments in preparation
The regional government has secured funds for more road projects in Inowrocław County. Under a design-and-build contract, we have commissioned the reconstruction of regional road no. 299, which connects national road no. 15 with the railway station (Piasta Street). Advanced design work is underway, including plans to rebuild the road surface, sidewalks, drainage, and lighting, as well as to reconstruct the intersection with the national road. The project is worth over PLN 15 million, and the contractor is Strabag.

A tender will soon be announced for the construction of the Trląg bypass. This investment will reroute a 3-kilometer section of regional road no. 255 to bypass built-up areas from the west. The project will also use European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021–2027.

We are continuing the regional program of illuminated pedestrian crossings. We are obtaining permits to begin work, among others, on:

  • regional road no. 251 in Pakość, Cieślin, and Inowrocław
  • regional road no. 252 in Pławinek and Dąbrowa Biskupia
  • regional road no. 412 in Przedbojewice and Janowice

European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021–2027 will also support the reconstruction of intersections into roundabouts in Rybitwy (on road no. 251) and in Dziennice (on road no. 252). Documentation is currently being prepared to obtain the official construction permit (ZRID).

An agreement has also been signed with the municipality of Pakość for the construction of a bicycle path along regional road no. 251 between the towns of Rybitwy and Wielowieś.

Record spending on roads
A total of PLN 2 billion will be allocated for the regional road modernization program in the coming years. Under the European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie 2021–2027 (EFKP 2021–2027), our regional program for the new financial perspective, EUR 136 million will be allocated for road investments, including the regional bypass construction program. Additional central funding (about PLN 170 million for bypasses and about PLN 450 million for other road expansions) will also be used.
