A year in our parks

On 26 May, one of this year’s most important sessions of the provincial assembly will take place, during which a vote of confidence and discharge for the regional government will be held. The basis for the debate will be two documents: a report on the state of the voivodeship and a report on the implementation of the budget for last year. We present materials summarising the activities of the regional government in 2024.

More than 30,000 participants, hundreds of events, dozens of projects – the landscape parks of our voivodeship in 2024 showed how to effectively combine nature conservation with education. From local workshops to nationwide campaigns, activities covered all age groups and promoted pro-environmental attitudes. The regional government – which runs for 10 parks – supports the development of their didactic base and conservation projects.

There are 10 landscape parks in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship, for which the regional government is the managing authority. Their employees summarised the most important events of the past year in their institutions:

  • Wdecki Landscape Park
  • Brodnica Landscape Park
  • Gostynińsko-Włocławski Landscape Park
  • Górznieńsko-Lidzbarski Landscape Park
  • Krajeński Landscape Park
  • Nadgoplański Tysiąclecia Park
  • Tucholski Landscape Park
  • Complex of Landscape Parks on the Lower Vistula (former name Complex of Landscape Parks Chełmiński and Nadwiślański)
  • It consists of three parks:
  • Chełmiński Park Krajobrazowy (Chełmiński Landscape Park),
  • Nadwiślański Park Krajobrazowy (Nadwiślański Landscape Park),
  • Góry Łosiowe Landscape Park.

Investments and innovations in landscape parks

In 2024, the landscape parks of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie voivodship not only carried out intensive educational and conservation activities, but also implemented modern investments:

  • The Brodnica Landscape Park tested an innovative water quality drone.
  • The Wdecki Landscape Park improved the accessibility of tourist infrastructure for people with disabilities.
  • The Nadgoplański Tysiąclecia Park received an architectural accessibility certificate, confirming its friendliness for all users.
  • The Tuchola Landscape Park prepared the Sawtooth project, involving the expansion of the Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve, the construction of a modern education centre with accommodation and a broad educational campaign.
