The Sanatorium Przy Tężni in Inowrocław, which boasts a tradition of more than 70 years, was awarded a banner today (21 May). The ceremony took place in the picturesque setting of the Saline Park, next to the graduation tower complex. The event was attended by the president of the regional parliament, Elżbieta Piniewska, and a member of the regional board, Dariusz Kurzawa.

Cure tourism is step by step becoming one of our regional brand products. It is gratifying that visitors are keen to visit our flagship sanatoriums and take advantage of the health benefits of the brine – emphasised Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

One of the main points of the celebrations was a mass, during which the Primate of Poland, Archbishop Wojciech Polak, consecrated the banner. Then the participants, accompanied by a brass band, marched to the sanatorium headquarters. The ceremony was accompanied by an artistic part.

The Przy Tężni Sanatorium, a facility run by the regional government, has undergone extensive modernisation in recent years. Investments included the expansion of the hospital and spa segment, the modernisation of the brine pool and the thermal modernisation of the buildings using energy-efficient heating systems and solar panels. Lifts were installed in the buildings and modern rehabilitation equipment was purchased. Patients can also use the mineral water pump room, cryochamber and viewing terrace.

The Inowrocław centre, one of the most dynamically developing treatment and rehabilitation facilities in the region, is continuously expanding its offer based on modern solutions and high rehabilitation standards. It can boast, among other things, a certificate and a gold statuette in the nationwide ‘Business Fair Play’ competition, distinctions for constructed facilities in the nationwide ‘Modernisation of the Year’ competition. Over the last few years, the number of places for patients has increased to 536.
