Support for Training Young Athletes – Applications Open Until March 28
A total of two million zlotys has been allocated in grants for sports clubs in the region as part of the “Kujawy Pomorze Team” project. Clubs that train athletes in strategic sports disciplines in the region—such as canoeing, cycling, athletics, and rowing—can apply for support. The application deadline is March 28.
— Our Kujawy Pomorze Team program is aimed at sports clubs training young canoeists, cyclists, rowers, and track and field athletes. These are the four disciplines where athletes from Kujawsko-Pomorskie achieve the greatest success. We want strong results among juniors to translate into achievements and medals at the senior level, said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The “Kujawy Pomorze Team” project aims to support higher athletic performance among club athletes in the region. The grant can be awarded for one-year projects and may be used to train athletes in two age categories: junior and youth. Clubs can allocate the funding for:
- Implementing sports training programs
- Purchasing sports equipment (with a unit value of less than 10,000 PLN)
- Covering the costs of organizing or participating in sports competitions
- Financing the use of sports facilities for training purposes
Considering the cost variations among different sports disciplines, the allocated funding within the project is as follows:
- Cycling – 750,000 PLN
- Rowing – 500,000 PLN
- Canoeing – 500,000 PLN
- Athletics – 250,000 PLN
Applications must be submitted electronically by March 28 to: punkt.informacyjny@kujawsko-pomorskie.pl.
Additionally, until March 21, applications are open for the sports scholarship grant competition for children and youth who achieved high sports results in international or national competitions in 2024. The total budget for this initiative could reach one million zlotys. Scholarship amounts, depending on the category, are 1,625 PLN and 1,125 PLN.
