New roundabout to be built in Inowrocław district
Twenty-three intersections will be rebuilt in the coming years as part of our programme to eliminate dangerous places on the roads. A tender is under way for the construction of a roundabout in Broniewice on provincial road no. 255 in the Inowrocław district. We are also commissioning further investments on the route linking Pakość and Mogilno.
– When modernising roads, safety is a key issue, emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki. – As part of our large package of road tasks, new roundabouts, pavements and illuminated pedestrian crossings are being built. We are using European funds for this purpose.
The construction of the roundabout in Broniewice will be combined with the reconstruction of a section of voivodeship road No. 255 from the railway crossing to property No. 300 (approx. 440 m long). In addition, a new section of the district road towards Janikowo (to the causeway) will be built. The old road running along the track will be demolished. This solution will allow the new roundabout to be moved away from the existing level crossing on the Poznań-Inowrocław line. Within the new three-intersection with circular traffic, we have included the construction of pavements and pedestrian crossings. There will also be a bus bay (in front of the entrance to the roundabout from Strzelno). The scope of the task also includes the construction of drainage, exits to properties and fields, and the installation of lighting. The truncation of the island on the west side will also allow oversized vehicles to pass through. Once the contract with the contractor has been signed, the work will take approximately six months.

Further investments
A tender is under way for the next stage of modernisation of provincial road no. 255 on a three-kilometre section between Rzadkwin and Bławaty. The task will involve building a new road structure practically from scratch. Shoulders and bus bays will be created, crossings and bus stops will be illuminated. Once the contract is signed, the work will take approximately six months.
We are completing work on updating the documentation and preparing a tender for the construction of the Trillo bypass along voivodeship road no. 255. It will bypass the town from the west. This solution will avoid demolition and significant interference with private property in the village.
Earlier, on provincial road no. 255, the section from Pakość to Janków (Inowrocław district) was rebuilt.
