In Remembrance of the Indomitable

We celebrate the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers (also known as Doomed soldiers). The regional commemorations, hosted by Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Voivode Michał Sztybel, the local government authorities of Bydgoszcz, and the Head of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate, will take place on Saturday and Sunday (March 1-2) in Bydgoszcz.

As part of the observances in Toruń, a patriotic ceremony with the participation of city authorities and military representatives took place this morning at the monument on Solidarność Avenue. Tomorrow at noon, a ceremonial gathering will be held at the memorial plaque on Piekary Street, featuring a historical reenactment.

Events marking the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers are being held throughout the country. This holiday, established by the Polish Parliament in 2011, pays tribute to the soldiers of the so-called second conspiracy, who fought for Poland’s independence between 1945 and 1956.
