Weekend with Culture
“Tchnienie” by Duncan Macmillan, directed by Patryk Warchoł, is the first premiere of the year at the Horzyca Theatre, taking place this Friday (January 31). The play stars Julia Sobiesiak-Borucka and Maciej Raniszewski.
The play explores relationships, emotions, and the art of compromise in modern relationships. “The topic is very relatable for the audience, and the script is so well-written that everyone watching will be able to reflect on the issues presented in the context of their own life and experiences,” said director Patryk Warchoł in the “Ucho Horzycy” podcast.
Additional performances of “Tchnienie” will take place on Saturday and Sunday (February 1 and 2) on the intimate stage in the Foyer on the second floor. Also at the Horzyca Theatre, from Thursday to Sunday (January 30 – February 2), “Cud” directed by Grzegorz Wiśniewski will be performed.
At the Pomeranian Philharmonic on Friday (January 31), the concert “With a Baton and Humor” will take place. The Pomeranian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Maciej Niesiołowski, with sopranos Anita Maszczyk and Violetta Białk. The program includes arias and duets from operas and operettas.
Opera Nova invites audiences to Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro”, directed by Maciej Adamczyk. The opera will be staged on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (January 31, February 1, and 2).
On Friday (January 31), the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Centre in Bydgoszcz will host a meeting with Małgorzata Grosman, author of “Ostromecko in Stories” and “Brave and Romantic. What if Bydgoszcz Were Not a Woman”.
Starting Tuesday (January 28), the Gallery and Center for Children’s Artistic Creativity will showcase two new exhibitions: “Black on White” and “Children’s Works from Odessa”.
