Scout Base in Bydgoszcz Officially Opened
A functional space with a conference room and a social café has been added to the headquarters of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie District of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHR) in Bydgoszcz. The new building will also be available for use by members of local organizations and associations. Marshal Piotr Całbecki and Deputy Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski attended the official opening.
“Every penny invested in scouting is always a good investment!” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “I’m confident you will make great use of this place. Let it serve you well! Stay alert!”
The new two-story building on Terasy 2 Street includes a conference room for 50 people and 24 overnight accommodation spots. It also serves as a hub for social initiatives, accessible to members of Bydgoszcz-based institutions and non-governmental organizations. The total investment exceeds 1 million PLN, with nearly 700,000 PLN funded by the EU through the Regional Operational Program of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship for 2014-2020.
Bydgoszcz Mayor Rafał Bruski also participated in the event.
